Me neither, but I just checked: both curgoth and I have permanent accounts, so maybe it's something specific to the paid/basic account host servers?

I don't know about permanent account features, but this is *not* normal behaviour for free accounts. In my memory, it's happened twice so far. As con_girl says, it's most likely a DDOS attack on the LJ servers. Again.
