It may be down to the difference in our respective browser settings, but this isn't normal behaviour for me. I check off the "keep me logged in" box, and stay logged in for weeks -- even months -- at a time,
I don't know about permanent account features, but this is *not* normal behaviour for free accounts. In my memory, it's happened twice so far. As con_girl says, it's most likely a DDOS attack on the LJ servers. Again.
That's what I figured, too. And with LJ's load-balancing, there's no way to know if anyone else within my circle of friends is on the same cluster as me.
No, just the usual problem that you and I discussed with the error message coming up, and if I hit "cancel" then I can continue with LJ. If the error comes up with facebook, I can't access it for an hour or so.
