Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] suricattus.

Take the following list, and: Bold items you have, and use at least once a year. Italicize the ones you have, but don't use. Strike through the ones you had, but have gotten rid of.

pasta machines, breadmakers, juicers, blenders, deep fat fryers, egg boilers, melon ballers, sandwich makers, pastry brushes, cheese knives, electric woks, miniature salad spinners, griddle pans, jam funnels, meat thermometers, filleting knives, egg poachers, cake stands, garlic crushers, martini glasses, tea strainers, bamboo steamers, pizza stones, coffee grinders, milk frothers, piping bags, banana stands, fluted pastry wheels, tagine dishes, conical strainers, rice cookers, steam cookers, pressure cookers, slow cookers, spaetzle makers, cookie presses, gravy strainers, double boilers (bains marie), sukiyaki stoves, food processors, ice cream makers, takoyaki makers, and fondue sets

(yes, I know. Haven't used the gifted fondue set once, and I live with a nigh-infinite supply of cheese)

43 items, 13 that we have, 3 not used that often, 1 of the 3 bought as a gift and not yet given.

What about food grinders (we have and use), bundt pans (we don't want one - my mom had nine and used none), coupe-legumes (we thought about buying one), coffee makers (we keep them around solely for visitors)?

Yeah, I could probably add a couple of items to the list too (cake carrier, egg slicer, electric can opener, electric steak carver... this is too easy), but I just copy 'em as I find 'em :)

Though... NINE bundt pans? That one I'm puzzled by. Maybe they were really popular birthday gift choices?

Or maybe they had super-cute patterns?

Wow. On a quick count, we have and 27 of those items in frequent use (or at least a few times a year).

Man, I don't even know what half of those things are. Which is good, because my kitchen is not fitting them in!

Also, I only own, or have ever owned, 3 of those things. Rice cooker, slow cooker and blender.
